PolyCase Ammunition, an injection molding company based in Savannah, Georgia, has released its Inceptor line of lead-free ammunition, featuring injection-molded Cu/P™ bullets loaded in high-quality brass cases. The first of several bullet profiles in the Inceptor line are round-nose precision target rounds in.380 ACP RNP, 9mm RNP, .40 S&W TNP and .45 ACP RNP. The company will be putting Inceptor.38 Spl., .357 SIG, .223 Rem. and .308 Win. on store shelves in the coming months.

The Inceptor line of ammunition features PolyCase's innovative injection-molded Cu/P bullets loaded in traditional brass cases. PolyCase's Cu/P Bullets, comprised of a proprietary lead-free copper alloy with high-tensile strength nylon binder, are produced using cutting-edge injection molding technology developed by PolyCase. Cu/P bullet technology results in a bullet that is much tougher than compression formed and sintered frangible bullets. The RNP precision target bullet, which features a traditional round-nose profile, is the first in a series of Cu/P bullets PolyCase is releasing this fall. The new bullets are clean, highly accurate and penetrate soft targets without deformation, yet feature reduced ricochet against hardened steel. The company emphasizes that they are effective for use in all firearms, including suppressed. The Inceptor RNP is designed for indoor or outdoor ranges and its competitive cost and excellent performance make it an ideal competitive target round. "The Inceptor RNP really is the best of both worlds. It brings high velocity, toughness and exceptional accuracy to the table in addition to the increased safety of frangibility," says Paul Lemke, Founder and CEO of PolyCase Ammunition.

The untraditional weight is a function of the materials used in production, and according to the company results in a high-velocity but low recoil round. Inceptor ammunition also offers compatibility with tougher EPA regulations that are affecting many indoor ranges. The RNP Cu/P projectiles are also being offered for sale to handloaders, and can be loaded and crimped with no specialized loading equipment.

According to Paul Lemke: "An exhaustive amount of load development has gone into the Inceptor line to ensure reliable function in all handguns and submachine guns. We load to SAAMI standard pressure specs and have completed extensive barrel and suppressor testing to ensure that these bullets function flawlessly." PolyCase Inceptor 9mm 84-grain RNP Cu/P cartridges are currently available to consumers through www.buygunsandammo.com and other retailers.
