Loading magazines has to be one of the more tedious aspects of shooting, right? Well, Caldwell's new AR-15 Mag Charger promises to help make that task quite a bit easier.

It's deliciously simple: Load rounds into the provided tray, load the tray into the charger, snap a magazine into place and then push the plunger into the magazine. Ten rounds are loaded at a time, so most magazine sizes can be accommodated. Larger magazines (or more than one 30-round magazine) can be filled with additional filling of the charger.

This ingenious device is going to get a workout in the following weeks, no question about that. Anything that improves the tedious task of filling AR-15 magazines is a welcome device; with an upcoming shoot featuring many different types of AR-15-pattern rifles any advantage I can get the better. If it allows me to spend the night before a shooting event better planning strategies and running dry-fire practice rather than spending time cramming rounds into magazines, I'm willing to give it a go.

MSRP: $89.99.
