Both the Federal and Remington 220-grain subsonic loads use the same OTM bullet, which is popular for this cartridge. The Federal load I tested was an engineering sample, but it is now available in the American Eagle line. Compared with the other loads tested, the Federal offering was reasonably accurate but only cycled the action about 60 percent of the time. The Remington load was more reliable. These bullets did not expand in the gel and penetrated 24 inches on a straight track.
