Ruger kicks off SHOT Show by unveiling four new pistols, two in .45 ACP, one in .380 ACP and one in .22 WMR.

The Ruger SR45 joins the popular SR Series of full-size and compact striker-fired pistols, offering consumers a reliable and affordable .45 ACP option in a slim, ergonomic package. Like the SR9 and SR40, the SR45 is built on a glass-filled nylon frame. We like the pistol's short trigger reach, reversible backstrap that allows an arched or flat configuration, and the fully ambidextrous controls. The SR45 ships with two, 10-round magazines and has an MSRP of $529.

Following up the full-size SR1911 comes a Commander-style version with a 4.25-inch barrel and a stainless steel frame. The Series-70 design features a skeletonized, aluminum trigger with an adjustable over-travel stop. The barrel and bushing are CNC-machined from the same steel bar stock for a better fit and increased accuracy. Appointments include a checkered mainspring housing and checkered, hardwood grips. A Novak LoMount Carry rear sight, along with the company's standard front sight, top the slide. The SR1911 Commander-Style comes with two, seven-round magazines, and we think its $829 MSRP is a good value for an all-American made 1911. Based on the LC9 but chambered in .380 ACP instead of 9 mm, the LC380 is what Ruger calls its "lightest recoiling personal protection pistol yet." The LC380's glass-filled nylon frame gives it a comfortable-to-carry weight of 17 ounces, while its light recoil spring allows easy slide manipulation. If you're looking for a pistol that's as nice to run as it is to tote, the LC380 could be the one. It has a 3.12-inch barrel and a capacity of 7+1 rounds. MSRP: $449.

For double-action revolver fans, Ruger expands its polymer-frame LCR family to include a version chambered for .22 WMR. A six-round capacity, 6.5-inch overall length and 16.6-ounce weight makes the LCR-22MAG an ideal kit gun. The gun has a Hogue Tamer Monogrip and an MSRP of $529.
