SIG Sauer has announced a safety recall for its Cross Bolt-Action Rifle, and owners should discontinue use of the rifle immediately. This recall notification applies to all Cross bolt-action rifles currently manufactured.

The decision was made after company officials viewed an online video in which a single Cross bolt-action rifle displayed a potential safety concern. The firearm in question has been returned to SIG Sauer and upon evaluation it was confirmed that the rifle exhibited a delayed discharge after the trigger was pulled. SIG Sauer has decided to issue this safety recall in order to implement a modification to the firing action to address this potential safety concern.

To register for the recall process please visit the special web page the company has established. There, owners can simply enter their rifle’s serial number to determine if it is subject to the recall. If your firearm is included in the recall you will be directed to a product return registration page.

You can also call SIG Sauer customer service at (603) 610-3000 and select option 1. Once an affected gun is registered with the company, SIG Sauer will further communicate with owners on how to arrange for the rifle’s return to the factory for the safety improvement. All shipment and replacement costs will be covered by SIG Sauer.

SIG Sauer remains committed to providing the highest quality, industry leading firearms in the marketplace and in an abundance of safety is requesting that owners of Cross bolt-action rifles discontinue their use immediately and follow the recall process as described above.
