SHOT Show 2018: CMMG MkG Guard 9 mm

In 2017, CMMG made big news with the launch of its all-new MkG Guard pistol-caliber carbine chambered in .45 ACP. The company's carbine uses an innovative radial-delayed blowback system that keeps the bolt closed long enough for chamber pressure to drop while still working on the simple blowback-action principle.

The company has since expanded its MkG Guard lineup with new options in 9 mm, operating on the same radial-delayed system. This allows the gun to remain lightweight, since the bolt carrier doesn't need to carry extra weight in order to allow the system to function optimally.
