1. Designed for Smith & Wesson 1854 Model rifles, Midwest Industries’ Lever Stock Smith & Wesson retains the big-bore lever gun’s length-of-pull while offering welcome versatility. Additional spacer plates are available if needed. Along with its ambidextrous design, a polymer cheekpiece provides ample adjustability for use with iron sights, red dots and magnified optics. M-Lok slots span each side and are compatible with aesthetic panels or the company’s Universal Shell Holders. MSRP: $269.95; midwestindustriesinc.com

2. The Skinner Sights’ Butt Cuff features leather loops for spare ammo. Choose from four different calibers as well as left- or right-handed variants or an optional padded cheek riser for use with either electronic or variable-power optics. A lace-on design makes installation quick and easy. MSRP: $100; skinnersights.com

3. Made for select models of Marlin rifles, XS Sights’ Marlin Optics Mounts are constructed from lightweight, aircraft-grade aluminum and are hardcoat-anodized for enhanced durability and scratch resistance. Hassle-free installation allows the use of the front-receiver screw holes. The kit includes everything required to install the rail and, with it, the enhanced confidence and improved versatility resulting from being able to mount a red-dot or variable-power optic. MSRP: $76.99; xssights.com

4. Measuring slightly more than 13 inches long and built from one piece of solid-billet, hardcoat-anodized aluminum, the Ranger Point Rossi R92 Gen 2 Levtac M-Lok Handguard further amps up the lever gun’s adaptability by enabling it to be supplemented with dedicated accessories via 24 M-Lok slots and four flush-cup holes for pushbutton sling swivels. A heavy-duty barrel band and hardware are included, offering increased durability and load-bearing capacity. The bottom is flat for greater stability when shooting from a rest, while the slender width, deep finger grooves and rounded lower corners all enhance comfort. MSRP: $169 to $189; shoprossi.com

5. Silencer Central’s Banish 46 suppressor boasts versatility in the form of a modular design that can be configured in compact or full size. Made of titanium and Inconel for improved durability and weight reduction, the suppressor tips the scales at a mere 16.3 ounces in its short configuration of 7.9 inches. The 10-inch configuration provides more sound reduction, with a weight of just 20.4 ounces. In addition to noticeable sound reduction, the Banish 46 lessens the felt recoil associated with big-bore chamberings. MSRP: $1,099; silencercentral.com
