Following up on Luth-AR’s highly successful release of its MBA-5 Buttstock in black, Luth-AR is releasing a Flat Dark Earth version that will be available next month. The Luth-AR MBA-5 Buttstock is the latest in the MBA Series, and it is designed as an affordable, lightweight, carbine buttstock with a paddle-style adjustment lever, which allows for rapid positioning.

The stock’s wide flared cheek rest provides a comfortable cheek weld, an anti-rattle clamp secures positioning and an integrated Picatinny rail at the bottom allows for attaching a monopod, solid rest on a flat surface or even mounting other accessories. It is QD cup ready. (*QD cups sold separately.)

The stock is designed to fit either mil-spec or commercial carbine buffer tubes for .223 Rem./5.56 NATO or .308 Win./7.62 NATO. The MBA-5 has a rubber buttpad, is constructed from high-strength glass-filled nylon and has a length-of-pull adjustable from 11.5 inches (collapsed) to 14.5 inches (extended). MSRP is $49.95.

Luth-AR was formed in 2013, although founder Randy Luth has decades of experience in firearm innovation. He founded D.P.M.S. Panther Arms in 1986 and ran the company until it was sold in 2016.

While there he not only designed, built and marketed some of the most innovative ARs on the market, his company also manufactured a variety of components as OEM products for major manufacturers. Along the way he collected seven patents and awards too numerous to mention. That wealth of experience shows in Luth-AR’s products today.

The MBA (Modular Buttstock Assembly) lineup, for example, can be configured to each shooter’s preference. Much of the design is tailored for 3-gun and the action shooting sports, disciplines Luth has actively supported and promoted for the past 16 years.
