Thompson Auto-Ordnance, maker of the famous “Tommy Gun” and other classic firearms, has introduced a striking new line of custom Revolution 1911 pistols. Each is engraved with historical artwork by Outlaw Ordnance that pays tribute to the brave men who led our nation during its struggle for independence.

Engraving includes the “Betsy Ross” American flag, followed by five honored Founding Fathers with their signatures—Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, George Washington, John Hancock and Paul Revere. Also on the right side is a depiction of the Boston Tea Party. On the left side are the Gadsden Flag, a depiction of Paul Revere riding to George Washington and the quote, “Give me Liberty or Give Me Death” set before a cannon.

The Revolution 1911 comes with solid copper grips. An eagle and the Declaration of Independence graces the left panel and the Liberty Bell is on the right. Finish is a distressed Cerakote Midnight Blue and covered with Matte Clear it’s the kind of collectible any enthusiast can appreciate.

The artwork is built on an Auto-Ordnance GI Model 1911 made entirely in the United States. It features a 5-inch barrel, GI sights and is chambered in .45 ACP. A seven-round magazine comes with the pistol, which has an MSRP of $1,277.

Kahr Firearms Group has partnered with Outlaw Ordnance on the design and promotion of this and a variety of custom firearm projects—including the “Fly Girls” and “Squadron” 1911s. Outlaw Ordnance is based in West Monroe, LA, and entered the gun business with a holster line in 2012. By 2014, business was brisk enough that the company opened a storefront and in 2016 it began firearm finishing and custom engraving.

Kahr Firearms Group, formed in 2012, includes Kahr Arms, Auto-Ordnance and Magnum Research. The firm is based in Greeley, PA, and all its companies are located in the United States.
