Bringing a new level of maintenance ease to the company's precision rimfire pistol lineup, Volquartsen Firearms announced the launch of its new Black Mamba .22 LR Target pistol for 2019. The new pistol incorporates many of the features found in the company's popular Scorpion .22 LR Target Pistol with the push-button takedown system made popular on the Ruger Mk IV.

Built on the Ruger Mk IV 22/45 frame, the Volquartsen Black Mamba receives special treatment by the company's gunsmiths, who retrofit the Ruger frame with their own Accurizing Kit. This provides a clean, smooth, trigger with a pull weight of 2.25 pounds. Additionally, each 22/45 pistol frame is equipped with Volquartsen's magazine release. When used in combination with the company's base pads, this new magazine release slightly elevates the point at which the mag locks into place inside the frame, in order to eliminate any feeding issues.

Each Volquartsen Black Mamba Target Pistol is built with the company's LLV Competition upper receiver, complete with a stainless-steel barrel and breech nesting inside of an all-aluminum barrel shroud. Barrel lengths are available in either 4.5 or 6 inches, and the package ensures that shooters get match-grade capabilities in a lightweight package that won't tire out your arms. The shroud also includes integrated Picatinny rails at both the top and bottom. Inside the receiver, consumers will find the company's Competition Bolt, complete with a Diamond-Like Coating that reduces friction and mitigates carbon accumulation. Other features include a threaded muzzle with a single-port compensator, adjustable target sights and a Tandemkross hiveGrip.

The Volquartsen Black Mamba .22 LR Target Pistol can be had in black, FDE and OD green finishes. The suggested retail price on the gun is $1,400.
