Proudly designed, built and finished in America, the Dark Storm Industries DS-15 Freedom Flag 5.56 rifle is built to provide AR aficionados with a quality-made rifle finished with a distinctly patriotic flair.

“The DS-15 Signature Freedom Flag rifle proved to be quite popular at our booth this past SHOT Show,” said Ed Newman, co-owner and founder of Dark Storm Industries. “No matter what state you live in or do business in, Dark Storm is the one company you can go to for the largest choice of rifles available to California and other restricted states, including our new Signature Series.”

Of course, the stand-out feature of the Signature Series rifle is the battle-worn Cerakote finish that replicates the stars, stripes and colors of the American flag splayed across the firearm. The handguard features two distinctly finished sections, one with the stars of the American flag on a blue background, which blends into a rearward section finished with white and red stripes. The upper and lower receiver are also finished in red and white strips.

However, consumers get much more than a fancy finish on the Dark Storm Industries DS-15 Freedom Flag AR-15. The gun is constructed on a forged upper receiver and billet lower receiver machined from 7075 aluminum. At the heart of the receiver, users will find a nickel-boron bolt-carrier group designed for enhanced reliability, as well as a tactical-latch charging handle and a 90-degree safety-selector switch.

The receiver is paired with a 16-inch barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO and machined from stainless steel with a 1:9-inch twist rate. The threaded muzzle is topped with a unique CQB compensator complete with machined spikes. The barrel and compensator both feature a bright, stainless-steel finish.

Other elements of the Dark Storm Industries Signature Series DS-15 Freedom Flag rifle is the company's own Signature Series drop-in trigger unit, designed to provide users with a clean 4-pound trigger with a crisp, tactile break and a shortened reset. The rifle's handguard measures 15 inches in overall length and is equipped with M-LOK-compatible attachment slots for accessory mounting. Completing the furniture on the rifle is a Magpul CTR stock and a Hogue rubber pistol grip.

Each Dark Storm Industries DS-15 Freedom Flag rifle ships with a single Amend2 Mod-2 30-round magazine. In addition to the standard model, fixed-magazine and featureless rifles are also available to states with feature-based firearm restrictions. The suggested retail price on the gun starts at $1,776.
