For years, the firearm industry suffered under a drought of .22 LR ammunition, leading to long lines at sporting-goods stores, inflated prices and product rationing. While ammo manufacturers worked overtime to crank out these popular rimfire rounds, it seemed like the days of plentiful, cheap .22 LR were in the past. However, in 2019, .22 LR has been plentiful for a while now, and prices have come down from their all-time high a few years back.
