This slide-on replacement features an angled, non-slip buttpad, a QD sling mount, enhanced cheek weld and slots for mounting accessories like a riser.
For the 5.56 NATO AR-15, recoil-mitigation is much less of a factor than in more potent calibers. That allows the user interface (buttstock) to be more bare-bones than with other platforms. Some manufacturers offer extreme, lightweight stocks that shave ounces at the expense of options.
