JP Enterprises announced the release of its JPGS-10D adjustable gas block sized for .875 AR barrels, an underserved segment of the AR build market.

"We were the first on the market with adjustable gas systems, the first of which we came out with circa 1993," JP Enterprises Founder John Paul said. "We've always seen the tuning of the operating system as crucial to optimizing the function of the rifle overall and cutting down on recoil. These gas blocks elevate that to an entirely new level."

The new JPGS-10D stainless-steel gas block features a two-piece design that allows for easy installation, even on barrels with pinned and welded muzzle devices. The gas block also uses a click-adjustable detent system that allows for an easily adjusted and secured gas screw. The ball detent on the gas block is captured, which allows for the removal of the gas-adjustment screw without the fear of losing small parts.

The new detent mechanism is designed for easy access from the side of a handguard. This is a departure from other systems that require adjustment from the front of the block, a feature that gets frustrating with extended handguards.

The company already sells an adjustable gas block sized for .750 gas journals and plans the release of a .936 version for later in 2017. The suggested retail price of the .875 JPGS-10D gas block is $129.95.
