Welcome to Episode One of "I Carry," Shooting Illustrated's weekly video series covering the guns and gear needed to put together an ideal everyday-carry kit. Today, we grabbed the popular Glock G19 pistol and incorporated it into a carry kit using an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0 holster, an Alien Gear Cloak Double Mag Carrier, a Streamlight ProTac 2L-X flashlight, an OKC Dozier Arrow pocket knife and a Magpul Tejas El Original gun belt.

Glock G19

The Glock G19 was developed with reduced dimensions compared to Glock's full-size G17 duty gun, giving consumers an ideal pistol for concealed carry. The pistol is chambered in 9 mm and measures 7.36 inches in length, 4.99 inches in height and is 1.18 inches wide. The gun weighs 23.6 ounces unloaded and features a standard magazine capacity of 15 rounds. The suggested retail price on the Glock G19 is $599.99.

Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0 Holster

Designed with affordability and durability in mind, the Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0 holster is built with a core made from stainless spring steel, which provides heightened rigidity and durability while also allowing for a comfortable carry base. The steel core is surrounded by a layer of ballistic nylon and backed with a neoprene liner to give users a comfortable carry option. The suggested retail price for the Cloak Tuck 3.0 holster is $43.88.

Alien Gear Cloak Double Mag Carrier

The Alien Gear Cloak Double Mag Carrier brings a new level of flexibility to any gun owner's carry kit, allowing for use inside the waistband and outside the waistband with an unprecedented level of customization. The kit comes with two magazine buckets that are fully adjustable for retention. The buckets come with neoprene backers for IWB carry and also ship with tuckable IWB belt clips, OWB belt clips, belt slide attachment and a paddle attachment for a complete magazine-carry package. The suggested retail price on the Cloak Double Mag Carrier is $49.88.

Streamlight ProTac 2L-X Flashlight

The Streamlight ProTac 2L-X measures just 5.1 inches in overall length and weighs in at 3.9 ounces, making it a viable option for everyday carry. The light runs off two CR123A batteries, which can be stored without issue for up to 10 years. The light can also run off the company's 18650 rechargeable lithium-ion battery. With the 2L-X, users get 500 lumens of output with a battery life of up to 30 hours. High, low and strobe modes are offered, along with the company's Ten Tap programming. The suggested retail price on the 2L-X is $85.

OKC Dozier Arrow Knife

Ontario Knife Company teamed up with custom knife designer Bob Dozier to develop an ideal everyday-carry blade. The result was the Dozier Arrow, which is built with a spear-point blade made from D2 tool steel. The knife features G10 fiberglass laminate handles that are heavily textured for improved grip, and the blade is equipped with a thumbstud for one-handed opening. The suggested retail price on the OKC Dozier Arrow is $78.95.

Magpul Tejas El Original Gun Belt

The first belt in the Magpul lineup, the El Original features a reinforced polymer core that is surrounded by high-quality bullhide leather, which creates a sturdy, water resistant belt that will secure any gun and magazine carrier with ease while providing a casual, everyday look. The belt measures 1.5 inches wide and is 0.25-inch thick. The belt is made in the USA and is available in black, chocolate and light brown colors. The suggested retail price is $84.95.
