More brains!

Hornady has set the date for its Zombies in the Heartland, 3-Gun Match for June 1 to 4, 2023, at the Heartland Public Shooting Park in Grand Island, NE. Match registration will open on Feb. 1. A sponsor reception will be on June 1 at Riverside Golf Club.

The event was first held in 2011 and has grown to become a favorite among enthusiasts of all skill levels. The venue ensures a good time at a world-class facility and the unusual opportunity to witness the proficiency of some of today’s best 3-gun shooters and learn what it takes to improve scores.

With an unusual and challenging course of fire, Zombies in the Heartland attracts shooters from across the country. This year shooters will find new and reactive targets developed specifically for the match, with most targets breaking, falling over, or moving. Participants will be required to compete with a pistol, rifle and shotgun or they can compete with a pistol-caliber carbine and shotgun in the PCC Division.

There will be an abridged sponsor match on Thursday, June 1, followed by a reception and prize table at the end of the day for industry participants at Riverside Golf Course. Hotel rooms can be reserved at Boarders Inn and Suites, 3333 Ramada Road, Grand Island, NE. Mention Zombies in the Heartland for reduced rates.

Zombies in the Heartland, unlike the now-gone Outbreak Omegas, continues to thrive. Part of the attraction is the world-class competitors it attracts—each eager to share tips with enthusiasts—along with Hornady’s dedication to ensuring a newcomer friendly atmosphere in an entertaining event.

Hornady and the Heartland Public Shooting Park are soliciting support for the match. For additional information or questions regarding the match, contact Sponsorship Coordinator Emily Mierau by e-mail at emierau@hornady.com.
