Stoeger is expanding the pistols in its STR line with the addition of the STR-45, chambered in .45 ACP. The STR-45 uses the same black polymer, striker-fired platform as the STR-9 series pistols but is designed to deliver up to 13 rounds of the hard-hitting .45 ACP, making it ideal for personal defense practitioners who favor the no-nonsense stopping power of the .45 ACP, packed into a familiar and modernized system that is ideally suited for everyday carry.
The STR-45 has a nitride-hardened, matte-black slide that has front and rear serrations to facilitate bare or gloved-hand slide manipulation and press checks. Drift-adjustable, quick-read three-dot sights or optional tritium night sights sit low on the slide to minimize height above the bore axis. The STR-45 also comes optic-ready to accept a broad range of popular red-dot footprints.
The STR-45 offers a highly usable grip design with a straight front strap (no finger grooves), full stippling along the sides, a deep, high-cut beaver tail that lowers the bore axis relative to the firing hand and interchangeable backstraps to ensure an optimal fit.
Designed for left- or right-hand shooters, the STR-45 features an ambidextrous slide stop and reversible magazine release button. A high-cut trigger guard, integrated thumb shelf, and stippling patches for finger indexing round out the ergonomic features of this pistol. The frame also includes a three-slot rail system for mounting a light, laser or other accessory.
The STR-45 comes in four model configurations with either a 10- or 13-round magazine and with either quick-read three-dot or tritium night sights.
