Turkish gunmaker Girsan is rolling the new Girsan MC14T Lady, a compact hammer-fired pistol chambered for .380 ACP. The MC14T Lady has a tip-up barrel that mimics the operation of the classic Italian Beretta Model 86 Cheetah pistol, but adds in some unique design aspects such as a Picatinny-based accessory rail on the dust cover, making it more than a straight clone of the original.

A tip-up barrel allows the shooter to directly load a single cartridge into the breech of a handgun without having to rack the slide. To load a tip-up barreled handgun, the shooter needs to unlock the barrel, tip it up, insert the cartridge and lock the barrel back in place. This system of operation was synonymous with Beretta pistols in smaller calibers such as .380 ACP, .32 ACP, .25 ACP and .22 LR. With the new MC14T Lady, Girsan is reviving the tip up design and bringing it back to the 21st century.

The Girsan MC14T Lady is has a glossy black finish that is accented with wooden stocks and gold colored accent parts. Nearly every small part, from the trigger, the takedown lever, the slotted stock screws, the magazine catch and ambidextrous safeties are all golden hued, which gives them a visual pop against the black finish and wooden stocks.
