Zero Tech optics is launching a new “slimline” open emitter slide mounted electronic red dot sight that works with the popular Shield RMS-c footprint pattern, the new Zero Tech Thrive HD Micro reflex optic. Slide mounted electronic dot sights have arguably passed from fad to everyday use. First it was with standard sized handguns, and now, the trend is catching up with slimmer pistols that are meant for everyday carry and self-defense.

Zero Tech’s new Thrive HD uses a 3 MOA red dot and is powered by a CR 2032 battery that is coupled with Zero Tech’s advanced “shake awake” technology, which helps the Thrive HD sight to be always ready and eliminates the need for manual activation. The Thrive HD has a strong rubber covering on its external surfaces while the entire unit is waterproof, fogproof and shockproof. Besides being useful as the main aiming sight on any of the slimmer modern EDC pistols on the market today, with its smaller size and minimal footprint, the Thrive HD can also be used as a backup or companion sight on a long gun. With its smaller size of 1.6 inches in length and only 19 grams in weight, it would not get in the way.
