Vudoo Gunworks Carbon Sinister

Vudoo Gunworks, a boutique riflemaker located in St. George, UT, is bringing a new ultra-light crossover rimfire precision rifle to market: The Carbon Sinister rifle. This new rifle is ideal for shooters who are looking for a single rimfire rifle to do it all—one that can hold its own at a precision rimfire match but that could also be taken into the field to plink or hunt

The Carbon Sinister rifle conjoins Vudoo Gunworks’ famous V-22 rimfire actions (which have the same footprint as the classic Remington 700 short action) to three different high-end carbon-fiber barrel options from Proof Research, Bartlein Barrels, or Helix 6 Precision barrels. The Vudoo Gunworks V-22 action is unique because it can be considered to be the spiritual successor of the Remington Model 40X action and also because it was designed from the ground up to be a full size action meant to chamber rimfire ammunition. The controlled feed capabilities in the V-22 action not only ensure reliability when chambering and extracting casings, they grasp cartridges in such a way that avoids damaging the soft lead noses found in certain match rimfire ammunition to avoid accuracy degradation.

When customers order their own Carbon Sinister rifles, they will have the ability to specify their desired barrel length ranging from 16.5 inches through 22 inches and Vudoo Gunworks will cut and install barrels into their actions to order from barrel blanks. Available caliber options for Carbon Sinister rifles include .22LR, .17HM2, .22 WMR, and .17 HMR. Ignition is provided by a factory preset 2 pound adjustable Timney 510v2 trigger. The rifle is fed via Vudoo Gunworks proprietary AICS pattern magazines that are modified to feed 10 rounds of rimfire cartridges. The Carbon Sinister barreled actions are wedded to a Mesa Precision Arms carbon fiber stock with an adjustable cheek piece.

Costs for a Vudoo Gunworks Carbon Sinister rimfire rifle start around $3,265 and can very depending on the build sheet. For more information on the Carbon Sinister and other products from Vudoo Gunworks, please visit their website at vudoogunworks.com.
