After the launch of the Springfield Armory 911 in 2018, Viridian announced its support for the platform with the creation of the Viridian Grip Laser module purpose-built for use on the diminutive .380 ACP pocket pistol. Through a partnership with Springfield Armory, the Viridian Grip Laser can be ordered straight from the factory on several models of the 911.

"We’re extremely proud of our partnership with Springfield, and we look forward to getting this unique sighting solution into the hands of customers," said Viridian President and CEO Brian Hedeen. "We believe that law-abiding citizens everywhere should have access to the best tools, technologies and resources to effectively protect themselves and those around them. By developing the Viridian Grip Laser, we’re giving customers an added level of reliability and life-saving power."

Built with a simple, intuitive, wraparound design, the grip laser replaces the standard stocks on the 911 pistol platform with a textured, rubberized replacement. The critical component of the laser assembly is found on the front strap of the gun, which provides a pressure-activated pad that automatically activates the laser once the pistol is gripped firmly. The laser module can be programmed for either a constant-on or pulse mode and can be had in red and green models.

Each Viridian Grip Laser is covered by the company's seven-year warranty. The suggested retail price on the green-laser model is $399, while the packaged unit with a Springfield Armory 911 retails at a suggested price of $789.
