Getting a good sight picture in low-light conditions with the open sights on most tactical rifles can be a daunting task. The iron sights on both AR- and AK-pattern guns are usually made of dark-colored materials, which are hard to pick up when the light level gets dim. The new Tritium Front Sight Post from TruGlo solves this problem from both the AR-15 and AK-style rifles.

The Tritium Front Sight Post fits right into where the front sight posts are found in most tactical rifle-setups. It will work with AR-15 rifles that have the A2-style front sights and AK-series rifles (AK-47, AKM, AK-74 and similar guns) which have standard front sight assemblies. The AK sight post also ships with a new windage drum for maximum compatibility with your rifle.

Both models of front sight include a combination installation and adjustment tool to replace and zero the sight. The tool allows you to easily remove the original sight post (and also the windage drum in AK applications), and quickly install the new Tritium Front Sight Post and adjust for zero.

“Many know and trust TruGlo tritium night sights on their duty or carry guns,” said Pliny Gale, TruGlo Product marketing manager. “We started with our brightest tritium technology to bring that illumination to popular rifle platforms.”

The front sight is made from a CNC-machined steel housing that is protected by the company's nitride Fortress Finish. Machined and assembled in the USA, they have a housing inset with a Swiss tritium capsule that provides a consistent illumination source that does not require light exposure to activate. The sights are protected by a 12-year warranty.

MSRP on the TruGlo Tritium Front Sight starts at $58.99, and more information is available at truglo.com.
