True Utility Berm

True Utility Knives, based in Fort Worth, Texas is releasing the new Berm, a Lilliputian-size, rugged keychain liner-lock folding knife. This extremely compact, lightweight and portable knife is almost the same as most automotive keychain fobs and is intended to give its owner a level of convenience when the need to open packages, cut tape or for when any other day to day, practical cutting task arises.

The Berm has a relatively large metal carabiner loop built into its body to make it easy to attach to key rings, key chains, lanyards, backpacks, purses or wherever it is needed. It has a small 1.5-inch blade built from 7Cr17Mov high carbon steel finished in titanium nitride. The blade profile found on the Berm is an angular and short modified clip point which is quite reminiscent of a classic Wharncliffe profile. Its spring-assisted opening mechanism also makes use of a ball bearing in order to make the opening of the blade extremely smooth. The blade is stored safely in a G10-scale grip housing. The Berm knife isn’t just for “keychain carry,” because it also features a reversible pocket clip for both right or left handed pocket carry. The clip is set up for tip up right handed carry from the factory.
