SDS Imports is unveiling the new Tisas Optics Ready version of its polymer-frame, striker-fired PX-5.7 pistol at SHOT Show 2024. The new PX-5.7 OR (Optics Ready) is chambered for the 5.7x28mm centerfire cartridge. This cartridge which, was originally developed during the 1980s in Belgium by FN Herstal, has been going through a resurgence during the past couple of years as big and small firearms manufacturers alike have been releasing new handgun models in this chambering.

“The popularity and interest in the 5.7x28mm cartridge continues to grow,” stated SDS/Tisas USA CEO Tim Mulverhill. “And Tisas is meeting that demand with the new PX-5.7 (Optics Ready).”

The new PX-5.7 OR’s slide is cut for the popular “slim” Shield RMSc footprint and has a 20-round magazine capacity. In addition to its default Shield RMSc cut, the new Tisas PX-5.7 also includes a separate mounting plate for the popular Trijicon RMR footprint that is also shared amongst a wide variety of other reflex optics. The pistol also includes a cover plate in case shooters prefer to use the standard fiber-optic iron sights.
