Taurus Mobile Home Defender

Taurus has just released a new version in the Judge revolver series, the new Taurus Judge Home Defender Pistol. This new pistol has a 13 inch barrel and a fixed section of M1913 Picatinny rail attached to its topstrap in order to facilitate the mounting of optics or accessories. In addition to the 13 inch barrel, the Home Defender includes a synthetic handguard to make it easier to hold with your support hand. Also enhancing the overall ergonomic design of the firearm is a steel blast shield to protect the shooter's support arm and a Taurus rubber grip for added safety and comfort. There is also a short section of Picatinny rail at the bottom front end of the hand guard to mount a bipod or other accessories.

The popularity of the Taurus Judge is due in part to its ability to shoot both .410 shotshell and the .45 Colt revolver cartridges, which share the same dimensions at the rim of each cartridge. This allows the firearms in the Judge series to load their guns with the wide variety of .410 shotshells as well has centerfire pistol rounds in .45 Colt at the same time.
