Italian firearms manufacturer Tanfoglio has unveiled the new Tanfoglio Stock Master Xtreme, a steel-frame, high-performance, hammer-fired pistol primarily meant for action-pistol-competition shooting divisions like IPSC Production or Classic Divisions. With the setup that Tanfoglio used in the Stock Master Xtreme, this sporting pistol would also qualify for USPSA Production or Limited Minor divisions.
Like many other famous Tanfoglio models or other 9mm sporting handguns, the new Stock Master Xtreme is based on the CZ-75 design and has an adjustable double-action trigger and skeletonized Delta Xtreme hammer. In the case of the Stock Master Xtreme, which was designed for performance, it uses a polygonally rifled bull barrel CNC-machine-turned from a Walther-Lothar barrel blank and has a reverse crown for an added level of precision. The Stock Master Xtreme’s slide has Tanfoglio Shark serrations on the front and the rear to allow for rapid manipulation as the shooter navigates through a stage. This pistol’s slide is not optics-ready since the pistol isn’t meant to compete in a red-dot friendly competitive division, but it does include an adjustable competition style rear sight and a fiber optic front–the combination preferred by competitive pistol shooters around the globe.
