Tanfoglio Stock III Pistol

Tanfoglio is releasing the new Tanfoglio Stock III Special, a high-performance, competition-focused, traditional-double-action 9mm pistol meant for IPSC or USPSA Production divisions, which stipulate that pistols may only hold 15 rounds maximum and must be equipped with iron sights.

Like the rest of the Tanfoglio Stock series, the new Stock III Special is based on the CZ-75 pattern and is built around a steel slide and frame. The frames have aggressively textured G10 stocks, and ignition comes via a skeletonized hammer and a Tanfoglio “Next” trigger with a flat trigger face. These high-performance competition pistols use precision-machined-CNC Walther-Lother stainless steel barrels with polygonal rifling. Underneath the barrel is a long single-piece steel guide rod that provides extra balance against muzzle flip during strings of rapid fire.

As an IPSC / USPSA Production division specific gun, the new Tanfoglio Stock III Special comes equipped with a competition-style, fiber-optic front sight and a micrometer-adjustable rear sight. Unlike other competition sport pistols with similar designs, the Tanfoglio Stock III comes equipped with an automatic firing pin safety.
