Springfield Armory, Inc. is now selling a California-compliant version of its Saint Victor 9mm PCC (pistol caliber carbine). Although California is notorious for its arcane gun control schemes and heavy-handed regulation, it still houses a large percentage of total American gun owners in the country and is a very important market for gun sales. As a result, Springfield Armory will be shipping this new variant of its 9mm Victor Saint with a fixed Magpul carbine stock, a Strike Industries CA compliant pistol grip with fin, and a Colt pattern 9mm 10-round capacity magazine. By omitting the normal telescoping carbine stock, standard pistol grip and standard capacity magazine, these carbines remain in compliance and are not bound by additional regulations that most other gun owners in the rest of the United States do not have to worry about.
“This new SAINT Victor 9mm Carbine adds another option to the SAINT Victor line for residents of the state of California,” said Steve Kramer, Vice President of Marketing for Springfield Armory. “Featuring the rugged performance of a direct blowback system, the SAINT Victor in 9mm makes for a great addition to any California firearms enthusiast’s collection.”
The Saint Victor 9mm PCC is made up of a melonited 16-inch barrel accompanied by a free floating full length M-Lok compatible handguard. Like any other serious-use pistol-caliber carbine, the Saint Victor 9mm PCC is also made from modern M-4 Carbine 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers. The flat top upper receiver is ready to take any optics, but Springfield Armory also ships with spring loaded back up iron sights on the Saint Victor from the factory. Because it cycles the 9mm cartridge, it employs a blowback mechanism instead of the typical AR-15 direct gas impingement system.
The CA Compliant Saint Victor 9mm PCC has an MSRP of $1,300. For more information on this rifle or other products from Springfield Armory, please visit springfield-armory.com.
