Springfield Armory Garrison 9mm 1911

The Garrison series of 1911 handguns from Springfield Armory combines modern materials and design with a heritage that spans more than a century. Now available in a 9 mm version that features classic hot-salt-blued carbon steel or rust-resistant stainless steel construction, the 9 mm Garrison is a rock-solid 1911 that gives you a host of modern upgrades along with the strength to provide a lifetime of service.

A forged frame and slide of the 9mm Garrison is a common element to all Springfield Armory 1911 pistols, providing added strength and durability. The 5-inch barrel is forged from stainless steel and is machined to competition standards and has a 1 in 16-inch twist rate. This new 9 mm 1911 is available with either hot salt blued carbon steel construction or rust-resistant stainless steel, just like the .45 ACP version of the Garrison.

The single-sided extended thumb safety of the Garrison ensures easy engagement by the shooter, while the grip safety has an extended beavertail to prevent “hammer bite” as well as a raised “memory” bump to ensure full engagement by the shooter’s hand. The Garrison series also comes with skeletonized hammer for good looks and low-profile 3 dot sights. 9mm Garrison pistols ship with one nine round magazine.
