The SIG Sauer P320 rewrote the rulebook for the modern defensive pistol. Its innovative design is based on a combination of a Fire Control Unit, or FCU, which holds all the workings of the gun, and a grip module, which holds the FCU and connects everything to the rest of the pistol.
The beauty of this system is that you can swap out the entire grip module without sending your gun off to the shop or additional paperwork from the government. Turning a subcompact 9mm into a full size .45 is just a matter of placing your existing FCU into another grip module and attaching the appropriate slide and barrel assembly. In addition to this, you can augment the stock grip modules from SIG Sauer with a host of other modules from manufacturers all across the country, such as the all-new P320 XCarry composite grip module by Mirzon.
This new grip module provides enhanced comfort and better overall control. The low beavertail of the module helps reduce felt recoil and mitigates muzzle-flip, while the overmolded rubber panels have slightly raised finger channels for better ergonomics and more comfortable and sure grip.
