SIG Sauer has just released the latest variant of their popular line of SIG P-365 semi automatic striker fired polymer framed handguns, the SIG P-365X Macro. This new pistol is a slim and compact 9mm striker fired handgun with “full size” 17+1 round capacity. Until this P-365X Macro’s release, a 9mm pistol that holds seventeen rounds in this size is would have been an anomaly, but SIG has certainly capitalized on its experience with the P-365XL in bringing the P-365X Macro to market.
“When the P365 was introduced, it reimagined the possibilities of everyday carry, and the P365-XMACRO continues this tradition delivering more on everything that made the P365 the number one selling, and most award-winning gun in America,” said Tom Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Commercial Sales, SIG SAUER, Inc. “The innovative magazine design of the P365-XMACRO delivers on capacity while maintaining the slim design, making it more comfortable and more concealable than any other 17+1-round pistol on the market. The integrated compensator of the P365-XMACRO reduces muzzle flip making follow-up shots faster and easier to stay on target shot after shot for even more accuracy. It is very simple, like the name suggests, with the P365-XMACRO you get more of everything you want in an everyday carry pistol, and you no longer need to compromise your capacity for concealability or shootability.”
Like all other members of the SIG P-365 family, the SIG P-365X Macro is a polymer framed striker fired 9mm pistol. This particular variant is also debuting SIGs new “Macro-compact grip module” which also has a Picatinny accessory rail under the dustcover. The SIG P-365X Macro has a built-in compensator milled directly to the top of its slide. This pistol’s slide is also geared toward compatibility with SIG’s own slide mounted red dot optics. Finally, the slide is also installed with XRAY 3 sights and the grip module has a flat trigger shoe. The P-365X Macro ships with two seventeen round steel magazines.
