AR pattern rifles have become America’s most popular rifle due, in part, to their almost limitless ability to be upgraded. From changing out barrels and triggers to new stocks and handguards, If you can think of it, chances are, the modular nature of the AR rifle can make it happen. This, however, can be confusing for some buyers, which is why the Tread line from SIG Sauer has some of the most-desired features in an AR platform gun, without any of the added frills. The Tread is available in a both an AR-10 pattern gun, chambered in 7.62 NATO and an AR-15 style rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO.
Now the new Tread Snakebite SE offers the same features of the standard Tread Snakebite model, such as ambidextrous controls and a free-floating barrel with M-Lok fore-end, along with other added upgrades. Just like all Tread models, the Snakebite SE works with the complete line of Tread accessories.
These upgrades include a unique combination flash hider and compensator that provides minimal flash and reduced muzzle rise and a two stage Matchlite trigger for an ultralight trigger pull for increased accuracy. In addition to this, the receivers and barrels are Cerakote finished to offer maximum protection and minimal wear.
