Rosco Manufacturing is extending its K9 Series of AR-15 rifle and carbine barrels with the most recent launch of the new K9 16-inch Barrel & Hatchet 5.56 NATO AR-15 barrel. This new barrel is set up to work in conjunction with an intermediate-length gas system with an optimized gas port to run reliably suppressed and/or unsuppressed. The K9 series’ continuous taper is the most effective profile to dissipate heat from hard use. In addition to its heat dissipation, since the weight is shifted to the back of the barrel, when modern attachments or accessories added to the muzzle side, the taper and profile help create a balanced and better handling rifle. On top of that, this new barrel includes the target crown carried over from the Purebred series.

“We are constantly looking for new ways to improve the shooting experience for our users, and this barrel is developed to do just that,” said Rosco Manufacturing President Mike D’Angelo Jr. “We’re excited to get the K9 16-inch barrel into the hands of Rosco shooters and provide another solution for them to produce top results, whether that’s on the range or in competition.”
