Rock River Arms Operator

Rock River Arms (RRA) is now selling a new line of DMR style rifles known as the Rock River Arms Operator DMR series. This new product line includes four different rifles chambered for .308 Win. (7.62 NATO) along with two additional .223 Rem. (5.56 NATO) variants. DMR stands for “Designated Marksman Rifle” and usually refers to a semiautomatic rifle, typically but not always chambered for a full-size rifle cartridge that has a slightly longer barrel and more powerful optics, giving it the ability to reach just beyond the effective range of the typical rifles or carbines found among a military unit.

.223 Rem. Rifles:

The two .223 Rem.-chambered Operator DMR Series rifles are models OP1510 (16-inch, chrome-lined barrel with 1:9-inch twist rate and a 13-inch rail) and OP1505 (20-inch, chrome-lined barrel with a 1:7-inch twist rate and 17-inch rail). Their primary differences lie in their respective barrel and lightweight M-Lok rail/handguard lengths, but both models share many components and accessories.

OP1510 and OP1505 Features:

  • .223 Rem./ 5.56 NATO
  • RRA Forged LAR-15M lower receivers
  • RRA Forged A4 upper receivers
  • RRA 2 Stage Ultra Match trigger group
  • A2 birdcage style flash hider
  • Low profile gas blocks
  • Carbine length gas systems
  • Magpul MBUS Pro sights
  • Houge beavertail grips
  • BCM SOPMOD buttstocks

.308 Win. Rifles:

On the .308 Win. Operator DMR side of the house, RRA sells two rifles with 20-inch barrels and two rifles with 16-inch barrels. These large-format, direct-gas-impingement rifles share many of the same features as their .223 Rem. siblings, like the RRA 2 stage trigger group along with some of the furniture and the sights. Both of the premium .308 models include Swiss ARCA rail adapters and SilencerCo Chimera 300 suppressors and are guaranteed to shoot 1.5-MOA size groups at 100 yards, right out of the box.
