Rock Island Armory has just launched three new versions of its 9mm STK series of striker-fired pistols with aluminum frames. The new Rock Island Armory STK series consists of the STK 100, STK 150 and the STK 200 pistols. Though most striker-fired pistols in the market today are built around polymer frames, the Rock Island STK series takes an alternative approach with the use of 7075 T6 series aluminum while still trying to maintain the refined and well-loved 1911-style grip angle. STK series frames also count on an extended beavertail for added comfort and shooting enhancement, especially to protect against slide bite.

Rock Island STK Series Features

  • All models are optics ready and include taller, back-up iron sights that will co-witness with the majority of slide-mounted electronic red-dot sights. Each model includes both Trijicon RMR and Shield Arms RMSc pattern optics mounting plates.
  • The STK 150 and STK 200 models are fully ambidextrous and suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters.
  • All three Rock Island Armory STK models share compatibility with Gen3 Glock parts including magazines and holsters.
  • Rock Island Armory uses a PECVD finish on the slide, barrel and other major wear parts of the STK series, and the aluminum frames are hard anodized.

“We’re thrilled to unveil the newly redesigned STK series, which honors the heritage of classic firearm design while embracing modern innovations and user-focused details. These updates bring a level of performance and control that truly stand out in today’s market,” said Martin Tuason, President and CEO of Armscor / Rock Island Armory.
