Phoenix Weaponry, a custom firearm manufacturer you might recognize from our review of the .45-70 Auto-chambered "Christine" rifle, launched its new integrally suppressed shotgun line. Customers can choose from several levels, from the entry-level "Cindy" model (Phoenix prefers to name its firearms) which uses either a Remington 870 or a Mossberg 500. To the customer's shotgun of choice, Phoenix then adds the integrally suppressed barrel.

Available as the "next-level" is the "Eliza" model, which has undergone Phoenix Weaponry's shotgun enhancements in addition to the integral suppressor. Should the customer prefer to use their own pump-action shotgun, they can provide it to Phoenix to have it suppressed, enhanced or both. This new integrally suppressed system works on any pump-action, bolt-action or semi-automatic shotgun.

After years of testing and development along with tens of thousands of shotgun rounds Phoenix Weaponry Owner Aaron Cayce said, "We have achieved the perfect balance between sound suppression, ability to change your chokes, and ammo functionality up to 3.5-inch shells. You can use everything from buckshot to birdshot and even slugs through our integrally suppressed shotguns."

Phoenix Weaponry starts by using the factory barrel, then removes the sight rib where the suppressor will mount to and machines ports into the sides of the barrel. The rear sleeve cap is then installed along with the front suppressor threads and the 6-inch Delta Mono Core suppressor core is then installed. It's then finished off with the suppressor sleeve and end cap. The suppressor system adds slightly more than 1 pound and 5 inches in overall length.
