Pivot knife

Outdoor Edge has just released the new line of Pivot fixed blade knives. The Pivot family is a modestly priced utilitarian knife line that is meant for outdoor use, camping, hiking, backpacking or survival. Both blade options in the Pivot line average just over two and a half inches and have an overall length of around 6.5 inches, so they are easy to carry in pockets or to stow inside of your field gear.  Pivot knife handles are fashioned from a durable and element-proof rubberized thermoplastic handle. Outdoor Edge includes sheath made from polymer and includes a rotating clip that makes it very easy to clip onto a pocket or to your outdoor/field gear.

The Pivot family originates from the redesign of the company’s  Le Hawk and Le Duck knives. The Outdoor Edge Pivot Knife family includes a Wharncliffe and a drop point blade option. Both of these blade profiles are well suited for use in the outdoors, and both profiles make their respective blades stiffer while still providing a fine point that does not compromise the tip while performing outdoor oriented cutting tasks around the trail or campsite. The Outdoor Edge Blackstone coating is a dark, matte blade finish that is designed to hold up to hard use in the outdoors for a long time.
