FN America is releasing three new FN 15 models in its designated marksman rifle (DMR) lineup. The third edition FN 15 DMR3 is now available in several new colors including matte black anodize, flat dark earth (FDE) or tungsten gray Cerakote. There are several notable upgrades to the rifle that enhance accuracy and curb felt recoil, such as a new 18-inch barrel, SureFire ProComp muzzle brake and Geissele two-stage trigger.
The all-new DMR3 uses an 18-inch Hybrid-profile for accuracy and reliability which provides a balance between rigidity for accuracy and light weight for easy maneuverability. The cold hammer-forged barrel is chrome-lined with 1:8 twist that is made from FN’s proprietary machine gun barrel steel. The barrel features a rifle-length gas system with a pinned low-profile gas block and is finished with a SureFire ProComp muzzle brake, to reduce felt recoil and make sure the rifle’s muzzle stays flat for faster shot-to-shot recovery.
The 14 5/8-inch aluminum handguard uses Hodge Defense’s wedge-lock technology for an rigid setup that minimizes deflection and allows for a fully freefloated barrel, which further aids accuracy. The rifles have a continuous MIL-STD Picatinny rail at 12 o’clock and multiple M-LOK attachment slots to allow you to add your choice of optics, aiming devices and other accessories.
The mil-spec forged-aluminum lower receiver features an M16-style bolt carrier group with high pressure/magnetic particle inspected and certified bolt. The Geissele two-stage precision G2S trigger provides exceptional trigger control with the first stage trigger pull ranging from 4.25-4.75 pounds and the second stage ranging from 2.75-3 pounds.
All of the rifles are finished with custom furniture from FN including an ergonomic pistol grip, six-position collapsible carbine stock and a 30-round magazine, along with a Radian Raptor-LT ambidextrous charging handle and a Radian Talon ambidextrous safety selector.
