Tactical shotgun accessories manufacturer Mesa Tactical has just released a new line of its combination dot mount and side saddle Sure Shell mounts meant for use with the Beretta 1301 Tactical semiautomatic shotgun. The Mesa Tactical Sure Shell carrier uses the popular Trijicon RMR/SRO optics footprint and is designed so that a Trijicon RMR electronic red dot sight can co witness with the shotgun’s built in iron sights. An elastomer retention system is used to hold snugly spare shot shells on the left side of the shotgun. Depending on their needs, end users have the choice of buying either a four or six shot shell carrier. Mesa Tactical Sure Shell mounts are designed to fasten to the Beretta 1301 Tactical’s receiver via the factory drilled and tapped holes on the receiver.
“Our SureShell shotshell carriers have always drawn quite a bit of attention from law enforcement professionals,” said Mitch Barrie, President of Mesa Tactical, “But many of these customers were not prepared to install the Trijicon RMR sights needed and mount the shell holders. So, designing a system for the semi-automatic platforms themselves seemed like a logical next step.
The Trijicon RMR/SRO footprint is one of the most popular footprint/ mounting patterns for smaller electronic red dot sights. Other companies besides Trijicon use this mounting pattern for their products including Holosun, Riton Optics, Nc Star, ADE Advanced Optics, Gideon Optics, Swampfox Optics and Vector Optics. This selection gives end users the freedom to choose an optic from almost every price point in the industry to mount on their Mesa Tactical Sure Shell carrier.
Mesa Tactical Sure Shell combination side saddle and dot mounts have retail prices that range between $95 to $125 and are available not only for the Beretta 1301 Tactical but also the Benelli M2 or M4 series of shotguns. To learn more, please visit mesatactical.com.
