LMT Suppressors

LMT AT (Lewis Machine and Tool Advanced Technologies) showcased three of their new dedicated 5.56mm and 7.62mm titanium suppressors at the recently held 2023 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, NV. These new products are the Ion 30, the Ion 556-K, and the Ion LT.

ION 30

The LMT AT Ion 30 suppressor is a multi caliber suppressor made from Iconel and stainless steel that is suitable for calibers ranging from .17 cal all the way to .300 Win. Mag. The Ion 30 suppressor was built with US SOCOM’s rigorous testing protocols in mind and as such is designed to surpass those protocols.  The Ion 30 shares the same core as the LMT’s belt-fed machine gun suppressors.

Specifications:

  • Caliber: .17 through .300 Win. Mag.
  • Finish: C-Series Cerakote, Ultra OX nitride
  • Adapter Threads: 1-3/8x24 inches
  • Muzzle Device: Xeno adaptable
  • Decibels: sub 139.9 (varies with caliber and barrel length)
  • Length: 7.14 inches
  • Diameter: 1.74 inches
  • Weight: 19.3 ounces
  • Service Life: 20,000-30,000 rounds

ION 556-K

The LMT AT Ion 556-K suppressor is similar to its bigger brother, the Ion 30. Instead of being a general-purpose multi-caliber unit, the Ion 556-K is a dedicated 5.56mm/.223 Rem suppressor optimized for a more efficient size as it measures only 5.275 inches. Like the Ion 30, the Ion 556-K is built to supersede US SOCOM protocols and shares its DNA with LMT’s machine-gun rated suppressors.

Specifications:

  • Caliber: 5.56 NATO
  • Finish: C-Series Cerakote, Ultra OX nitride
  • Adapter Threads: 1-3/8x24 inches
  • Muzzle Device: Xeno adaptable
  • Decibels: sub 139.9 (varies with 5.56 load and barrel length)
  • Length: 5.275 inches
  • Diameter: 1.74 inches
  • Weight: 15.2 ounces
  • Service Life: 10,000-20,000 rounds

ION LT

The Ion LT suppressor is similar to the Ion 30 as it is also a multi-caliber suppressor with many of the same characteristics. However, the Ion LT is manufactured with titanium instead of stainless steel.

Specifications:

  • Caliber: .17 through .300 Win. Mag.
  • Finish: C-Series Cerakote, Ultra OX nitride
  • Adapter Threads: 1-3/8x24 inches
  • Muzzle Device: Xeno adaptable
  • Decibels: sub 139.9 (varies with caliber and barrel length)
  • Length: 8.15 inches
  • Diameter: 1.74 inches
  • Weight: 14.7 ounces
  • Service Life: 20,000 to 30,000 rounds
