Giant Mouse Knives has just added a new blade to the ACE folding-knife family with the new ACE Bleecker knife. This new knife, like the rest of Giant Mouse Knives products, are precision manufactured in Maniago, Italy, and designed by Danish-born knifemakers Jens Ansø and Jesper Voxnæs.
The ACE Bleeker is Giant Mouse Knives interpretation of the classic slim “gentleman’s” folding knife. The Bleeker sports both a compact profile and a blade measuring 3.26 inches in length with a drop-point profile. The ACE Bleeker works in tandem with a frame lock to secure the blade when not in use and incorporates ball bearings into its pivoting mechanism for a smooth, gliding opening. The thin profile blade is made from CPM Magnacut steel and end-users have the choice of either a lightweight titanium or carbon-fiber case/handle. In tune with the rest of their naming conventions which take after eclectic and bohemian bar/neighborhood districts around American cities, Giant Mouse designers and knifemakers Jens Ansø and Jesper Voxnæs named the new ACE Bleeker “gentleman’s knife” after New York City’s Bleeker Street. Bleeker Street runs through the heart of the Greenwich Village neighborhood which is popular for its nightlife and artistic legacy and has served as a major hub for bohemian cultural in America. The Danish designers found this popular street’s name to fit their new ACE Bleeker knife due to its design philosophy. Retail pricing for the ACE Bleeker starts at $245.
