FN SCAR 15 Pistol In 300 BLK

FN America has just launched a new large-format pistol based on the proven FN SCAR line chambered for the versatile .300 BLK rifle cartridge. This new variant, available in both black and flat dark earth, joins the standard FN SCAR 15P (for Pistol) that is already chambered for the standard 5.56 NATO rifle cartridge. In order to adapt the FN SCAR 15P for the .300 Blackout, the engineering team re-designed the action, adjusting the SCAR 15P’s regular and gas systems settings to best manage both super and subsonic .300 BLK rounds. The .300 BLK cartridge has steadily gained acceptance in the industry after proving itself to be a capable short-range intermediate cartridge with excellent suppression capabilities.

“The SCAR family is renowned for its uncompromising reliability, durability and accuracy–the hallmark of FN’s quality. We are proud to say that the FN SCAR 15P in .300 BLK continues to expand the platform while delivering a shooting experience worthy of the name,” said Benjamin Voss, Sr. Product Manager, Long Guns, FN America, LLC.  “With the addition of separately available cold hammer-forged and chrome-lined barrel assemblies chambered in .300 BLK and 5.56 NATO, the FN SCAR 15P continues to increase the configuration choices the SCAR family is known for.”

Due to the nature of the general FN SCAR operating action, SCAR 15P owners can freely swap out barrel assemblies between the new .300 BLK models and the established 5.56 NATO models too. All SCAR 15P pistols ship in a padded soft case. In the case of the new .300 BLK version, this includes a dedicated .300 BLK magazine from Magpul and a .30-inch-diameter flash hider optimized for this cartridge.
