Low-power variable optics in the 1-4X magnification range and up have become a popular option for both 3-Gun competition shooters and people interested in using an AR-pattern gun for defensive purposes. A low-power variable optic, or LPVO, lets you see and engage close range targets at 1X power, and then, with the twist of a knob, they can quickly zoom up to higher powers in order to engage targets at longer ranges.

Firefield Optics has added to its line of LPVOs with the introduction of the new Firefield RapidStrike 1-6x24mm Riflescope Kit. The RapidStrike Kit includes a 1-6X variable-power riflescope, a cantilever mount for proper cheek weld, a throw lever for quick magnification adjustments and a honeycomb lens filter to reduce glare and reflections. The 1-6X RapidStrike gives you the flexibility of a 1X power optic for rapid engagements and quick target transitions at close range, while the 6X power lets you reach out and hit targets at longer distances, making it a great choice for for close or mid-range engagements, 3-Gun competitions, self-defense, hunting or just a fun day at the range.

The RapidStrike 1-6x24mm scope features multi-coated, anti-reflective glass with a red and green illuminated second focal plane Circle-Dot BDC reticle. The scope has five brightness settings, 1-6X optical zoom and pop-up, resettable locking turrets that return to zero.

This scope is tested to perform in the extremes of -13 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit, and it’s built to last, using a durable, 30mm 6061-T6 aluminum body that is IP67-rated waterproof. Its field performance is also enhanced by the fact that the RapidStrike scope is also dustproof, fogproof and shockproof.
