Those looking to enhance the look and versatility of their AR-15 need only grab one of Ergo Grips' new SuperLite Modular Free-Float Rail systems, now available in the company's Cerakote dark-earth coating.

The Ergo Grips SuperLite Modular Rail system provides a number of benefits to owners of AR-platform rifles, enabling them to attach a wide range of aftermarket accessories. Both M-Lok and KeyMod-compatible handguard models are offered, depending on the end user's attachment system of choice. The generous skeletonized venting design of the handguards also enhances barrel cooling, ensuring that barrel life isn't hampered through extended strings of fire at the range.

Each handguard model offered by Ergo Grips provides a full-length Picatinny rail running along the top of the handguard that mates up easily with any standard A3 flattop receiver. This extended rail enhances the ability of AR owners to mount optics at multiple points on their rifle. The handguards offer accessory-attachment points in either M-Lok or KeyMod, depending on the model selected, at the 3-, 6- and 9-o'clock rail positions.

The handguards provide a full free-float setup for any AR-15 rifle, ensuring that there are no impediments to getting the maximum accuracy potential out of any AR-15 rifle barrel. Other enhanced features of the handguard include special cutouts that are designed specifically to deflect barrel heat away from the user's support hand.

The rail itself is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and features a thin Cerakote finish that works to protect the handguard from dings, scratches and corrosion. The Cerakote also protects the metal from potential damage from the use of harsh chemicals and high heat.

The ERgo Grips SuperLite Modular Rail system can be had in both black and dark earth finishes. Three lengths are offered in 9, 12 and 15 inches, as well as two different diameters. Each handguard model ships from Ergo Grips with three M-Lok or KeyMod rail covers and the company's 18-slot Picatinny-rail ladder. The suggested retail price on the company's new dark-earth railed handguard is $227.
