Ed Brown is now offering the popular Kobra Carry single stack Commander-sized 1911 as a dual caliber package, shipping with complete .45 ACP and 9mm slides and barrels that can be swapped on top of the same frame. The flexibility of this semi-custom package is meant to let shooters take advantage of two prominent handgun calibers on and off the range, as well as for personal protection and defensive carry. The most iconic aspect about Ed Brown Kobra Karry pistols of course are their unique mainspring houses which remove the traditional 90-degree corner to prevent that part of the pistol’s grip from printing over a concealed carrier’s shirt, especially when carried in an IWB (Inside The Waistband) holster behind the hip.

The Ed Brown Kobra Carry Dual Caliber’s .45 ACP complete top end has a more traditional style and includes metallic night sights that consist of a fixed black rear sight with a Trijicon HDXR front sight. The complete 9mm top end, on the other hand, ships with a slide-mounted 6 MOA Vortex Venom red dot sight and a modern 9mm fitted bull barrel with a thinner slide.

Ed Brown Kobra Carry Dual Caliber G4 Features:

  • 25 inch .45 ACP Commander slide with fixed black rear sight and orange Trijicon HDXR front sight
  • 4 inch 9mm upper equipped with Vortex Venom optic and black front sight
  • Single stack commander Bobtail frame

“Our Dual Caliber Kobra Carry, is the latest example of a long line of Ed Brown innovations”-said Dave Biggers,Director of Sales & Marketing for Ed Brown.
