Dead Air Silencers, based in Heber City, UT, is releasing the new Mojave 9 Suppressor.
“Having been given the opportunity to design the 9mm suppressor we call the Mojave 9, I really wanted to wow our customers and give them something they have never seen before,” says Mike Smith, a Research and Development Engineer at Dead Air Silencers.
The new Mojave 9 9mm suppressor is a two-piece .35 caliber suppressor made with titanium, aluminum and stainless steel that allows the shooter to use it either in a full-size configuration (7.64 inches) or a shorter, more compact (5.89 inch) configuration. The Mojave 9 is also the company’s first suppressor to use DMLS (direct metal laser sintered) manufacturing technology in its construction. DMLS technology allows for Dead Air to tweak the geometry of their baffle design for peak performance in ways that were not previously possible with more traditional baffle construction techniques. Additionally, DMLS makes it easier for Dead Air to maintain and repair units.
Besides being suitable for 9mm handgun rounds, the Mojave 9 is also compatible with the .350 Legend and both subsonic and supersonic .300 BLK firearms. For subsonic use, this suppressor is also full auto rated.
Dear Air Silencers includes a ½ x 28 tpi threaded piston, but the Mojave 9 is also compatible with all of their P-Series mounts and accessories like 3-Lug and Key-Micro mounts along with their recoil booster.
