Crossbreed Holsters just launched the new Chest Rig Nomad holster, which is based on Crossbreed’s original Chest Rig holster design but also allows hunters, hikers or backpackers to wear a holstered handgun over their high-chest area while also wearing a backpack, daypack or similar pack with shoulder straps.
The Crossbreed Chest Rig Nomad holster is built around a handgun-specific Kydex shell that is fastened to a soft and breathable leather backing piece that has three “corners” for the Nomad’s strap system. Crossbreed designed the Chest Rig Nomad to have a universal fit independent of the type of pack/shoulder strap style, and the harness’ straps themselves loop around the user’s shoulder straps at three different points. These are then cinched down for stability and proper carry. Donning or removing the Crossbreed Chest Rig Nomad is easy because the three holster straps also have built-in quick release buckles. The Kydex shell is available for a wide variety of makes and models; customers can also choose a light bearing shell for handguns with attached tactical lights. The upper edge of the shell is also cut in such a way that holstering a handgun with a slide mounted red-dot sight on the Chest Rig Nomad isn’t an issue.
In addition to being available for many different pistols, customers can also pick between five different hardware finishes including anodized black, NRA blue, Magpul flat dark earth, blaze orange and SIG Sauer pink in order to add a piece of flair to their own Crossbreed Chest Rig Nomad set-up. The leather backing piece can also be had in black or brown cowhide.
Pricing for the Crossbreed Holsters Chest Rig Nomad starts at $86.21. To learn more about this outdoor oriented field chest holster system or other types of holsters, visit crossbreedholsters.com.
