Christensen MCR Rifle

Earlier this year, Christensen Arms unveiled its new Modern Carbon Rifle, a lightweight bolt-action hunting rifle built around the Remington 700 pattern rifle action and Christensen’s signature Aerograde carbon-fiber-wrapped rifle barrel. The Modern Carbon Rifle is currently available in the following calibers: 7mm PRC, 6.5mm PRC, .300 PRC, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Win. and .300 Win Mag.

The Modern Carbon Rifle’s barreled action is married to a Christensen FFT carbon-fiber stock that has an adjustable cheek riser with a flat comb for ideal sight alignment between the shooter and magnified optics. In addition to this, the Christensen Arms FFT carbon-fiber stock includes a set of full-length M-Lok sockets on the fore-end, a fully integrated section of Picatinny rail section on top, front and rear quick detach attachment points for slings and spacers to adjust the buttstock’s length-of-pull. Finally, this stock features a hybrid grip angle that is conducive to more precise shooting.

The Modern Carbon Rifle’s action is modeled after the proven Remington 700 action. The bolt handle is skeletonized and includes a carbon-fiber knob, while the top of its receiver has an integrated 20-MOA Picatinny rail making it convenient to mount optics right out of the box. The Christensen Arms Modern Carbon Rifle also includes a Trigger Tech adjustable trigger. Cartridges are fed from a detachable box magazine.

The carbon fiber wrapped Christensen Arms Aerograde barrel is freefloated, button-rifled, hand-lapped and equipped with a match chamber. Like any other modern hunting rifle, the muzzle of the barrel is threaded to accept suppressors.
