Browning recently introduced the new line of X-Bolt Mountain Pro rifles, which includes several standout features , among which is the carbon fiber stock that is now ¼ pound lighter than previous versions and the innovative new Browning Recoil Hawg muzzle brake that reduces recoil up to 77 percent. A thread protector is included.

Weather resistance is paramount with the stainless steel barreled action available with either a Cerakote Burnt Bronze or Tungsten finish. A Picatinny bipod rail on the forend is also included. With the introduction of the X-Bolt Mountain Pro, Browning is delving into semi-custom rifle production. What classifies the X-Bolt Mountain Pro as a semi-custom rifle is the level of specialized finishing touches and higher end construction that go above and beyond what's already available in the X-Bolt family of hunting rifles.

The X-Bolt Mountain Pro features a true carbon fiber stock that is now lighter than previous versions for even lighter weight and more rigidity. The stock is filled with a noise-dampening foam for added comfort. Additionally, the Cerakote finish on the stainless steel action and barrel is also on the exterior of the stock for added protection. The Burnt Bronze hue mutes the color of the stock for better concealability. The barrel features a new proprietary lapping process to provide consistent accuracy and easier bore cleaning and also avoids the need for a time-consuming break-in process.

Other features include a spiral-fluted bolt and bolt knob, threaded muzzle with our new Recoil Hog muzzle brake that reduces felt recoil up to 77 percent (depending on caliber), effectively taming your favorite magnum cartridges.

The X-Bolt Mountain Pro is free-floated by bedding the front and rear of the action for stability and to help maintain barrel to stock spacing for consistent accuracy. A recessed muzzle crown helps protect the rifling from damage. The three-lever Feather Trigger provides a clean, crisp pull with no take-up or creep and minimal overtravel. The rifle has a short, 60-degree bolt lift for fast cycling without the scope getting in the way.

Browning X-Bolt Mountain Pro Features:

  • Cerakote Burnt Bronze or Tungsten finish on stainless steel barrel and action
