Keeping your guns safe and secure is an important part of any range trip. Arriving at the range with guns scattered all over the storage area of your vehicle means your optics will probably need to zeroed again. Meanwhile, a vital range accessory like a spare magazine or a spotting scope, can also wander off if your gear isn't stowed properly, bringing a fun day exercising your rights and enjoying the shooting sports to a premature end.

Birchwood Casey is known for their targets and shooting support gear, and now they have just released a soft-padded case that is ideally suited for AR-15 and AK-pattern rifles, the 36-inch Single Gun Case.

This new case is designed to accommodate rifles up to 36 inches in length and is lighter and easier to transport than conventional hard cases. The case is made of rugged 600D polyester and has a dual-zippered main compartment that is well-suited for securely stowing a carbine, along with padded side panels for optimum protection during transport.

In addition to the secure main compartment, the case also has three large exterior storage pouches that are ideal for carrying magazines, ammunition or other accessories such as cleaning supplies, gloves, and ear/eye protection. There is a generous strap-and-buckle system that allows shooters to cinch the case snug to prevent contents from moving around as the case is carried. The Single Gun Case also comes with padded and adjustable shoulder straps for hand-free carry to and from the shooting range.
